The problem with jobs is that they do not exist in a emotional and spiritual vacuum. There have been problems raised by my work that I never expected. There are some situations that no amount of education can prepare you for. How do you represent Christ to people who are sick of Christianity due to Christian hypocracy? How do you act around co-workers who are gay? What do you say to co-workers who tell you they have been through terrible abuse? How do you learn to live with a supervisor who only gets along with people of a certain color? How do you make a living, be a good employee and represent Christ in the middle of all this? What am I supposed to do with all this mess? How am I going to deal with all this when I am in a management position?
